Much, much more than another Stateside tale of a dim teenager getting herself pregnant … a brilliantly written story played to the hilt by a wonderful, sympathetic cast and an Oscar hope come the end of the month.

Page plays Juno, the unfortunate girl who finds herself pregnant but realizing that she is too young to cope with parenthood, deciding instead to have the baby adopted by a childless couple.

It is a strong, character-driven story that hits all the right emotional marks: funny, serious, touching, thoughtful … and always entertaining.
