A moving and inspiring film – coming with a multitude of honours and plaudits – based on the book dictated astonishingly by Jean-Dominique Bauby using his one good eye to blink out the words.

He had been harrowingly injured in a car crash that left him able only to blink … and to turn out the foundation for a truly remarkable film that brings us the story without cloying sentiment and with uplifting moments of humour.

It is a film celebrating the human spirit and it deserves every award going.
