Janet Jackson fears she is to blame for the failure of her marriages to Rene Elizondo and James DeBarge - because she was too loyal and giving.

The r n'b superstar continues to dismiss reports she and producer boyfriend Jermaine Dupri have wed in secret, and now suggests she may never marry again - because she worries she will jinx a romance if she takes on another husband.

In a candid new interview with America's Parade magazine, the 'Nasty' singer explained: "After two divorces, I thought I was jinxed: 'Maybe marriage isn't for me? Maybe it's my fault it never works.'

"I was always faithful. I always tried to give of myself. I was very loyal. But maybe I'm the problem. I'm to blame."

She also insisted her reluctance to wed again is an effort to avoid another crushing heartbreak.

"It was awful," she said. "I was so tired of being hurt."
