Will Irish audiendces buy 'Cloverfield' hype?

Ever thrown a party for a friend of yours only for it to be ruined by unforseen circumstances?

Whatever the reason for the night being ruined was it as bad as a gigantic monster wreaking havoc?

In a nutshell that's the series of events which unfold in 'Cloverfield' the new JJ Abrams directed

movie, which has just opened across Ireland, following the experiences of five young New Yorkers.

It'ss the biggest January movie release of all time in the US where it reaped 41 million in it's opening

weekend.

But the shaky camerawork filming method to give the flick a reality TV feel led to some theatres

in America posting warning notices outside saying patrons who watch it may suffer from nausea.

The style has also irritated some Irish moviegoers who nonetheless look set to buy into the hype around its release.
