Hawke expecting child with former nanny

Ethan Hawke is expecting his first child with girlfriend Ryan Shawhughes, described as the former nanny to his two children.

“I can confirm and they are thrilled,” Ethan’s publicist, Mara Buxbaum, told People.com. She declined to reveal any more information.

Hawke, 37, met Shawhughes, 28, when she worked as a nanny for his two children - daughter, Maya, nine, and son, Levon, six – when he was still married to Uma Thurman.

Hawke and Thurman divorced in 2004.
