Jolie outstanding ‘In A Mighty Heart’
Angelina Jolie proves yet again that given the right dramatic role she’s quite an actress.
In 'A Mighty Heart' (EIV, €24.99), she plays Mariane Pearl, the pregnant wife of Wall Street journalist Daniel Pearl who was abducted in Pakistan. What happens in the hands of director Michael Winterbottom is an enthralling film which manages to hold your attention right through, even though the ending is known to most of us.
But for all Winterbottom’s clever direction it is Jolie who convinces as she finds herself thrust into the limelight as the hunt for her husband reaches a dramatic conclusion.
