The father of a man who died after suffering serious injuries while partying at the home of British TV presenter Michael Barrymore today said the entertainer had "no hope" of resurrecting his career.

Terry Lubbock - whose 31-year-old son Stuart was found dead in Mr Barrymore's swimming pool nearly seven years ago - was speaking as the comedian prepared for a new theatre role.
