Cox, recently fallen on hard times, was once up there with the legends of country music, like Cash and Williams. His records are almost certainly in your very own collection.

WRONG!

Dewey Cox never existed, though after watching this wonderfully inventive spoof bio you wish he had. Reilly, in his best performance yet, might consider taking to the road as Cox.

The film, clever and funny with its constant one-liners and sight gags, charts the life and times of a colourful character in the same manner that the string of recent true bios brought us the life and times of performers who did exist … you’ll much prefer this outstanding one.
