Doherty denies Babyshambles split

Troubled rocker Pete Doherty has started work on his first solo album - but insists the LP won't affect his career with Babyshambles.

The singer, 28, is thrilled with the new songs he has recorded but has reassured fans the album won't spell the end for his band.
