Daniel Day-Lewis wins Best Actor at Golden Globes
London-born actor Daniel Day-Lewis has won the award for Best Actor at this year's Golden Globes.
The Co Wicklow resident got the gong for his portrayal of a US oil prospector in the movie 'There Will Be Blood'.
He was one of four Irish actors nominated for the awards.
Thirteen-year-old Carlow girl Saoirse Ronan was shortlisted as Best Supporting Actress for her role in 'Atonement', but she lost out to Cate Blanchett.
