Britney Spears has been told she will have to make her own way to court for a crucial custody hearing on Monday after upsetting officials at the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.

The authorities have helped the troubled singer get to and from court, avoiding the media scrum that awaits her, for past appearances, but they insist they will not be helping her again.
