Political thriller 'The Walker' worth a look

IF you want to start the year off with a decent political thriller, seek out 'The Walker' (Pathé; €24.99). Carter Page III (Woody Harrelson) is a professional “walker”, who spends his time escorting the wives of an elite too uninterested in attending social functions.

But when his beautiful friend Lynn Lockner (Kristin Scott Thomas) discovers her lover has been murdered, she turns to Carter for help.

Unfortunately, he’s soon implicated in the crime and events turn nasty as he tries to clear his name and find the real killer. A top-notch thriller from Paul Schrader with Harrelson on form and a great cast including Lauren Bacall and Lily Tomlin.
