Film production firm agrees deal with striking writers

One of Hollywood’s largest independent film producers said it expects to reach a deal with striking Hollywood writers.

The Weinstein Company was anticipating that an agreement with the Writers Guild of America would be signed by tonight, spokesman Matthew Frankel said.
