Madonna and Ritchie visit Indian slums

Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie have toured a slum in Mumbai, India, during a family vacation in the country.

The pair were accompanied by their children, Lourdes, Rocco and David, as they walked through the Ambedkar Nagar slums - accompanied by Australian author and convicted bank robber Gregory Roberts, who lives in the city.

The group were welcomed by locals who showered them with rose petals, despite most not knowing who the superstar singer was.

The Ritchie family flew into Mumbai after spending New Year in the Rajasthan region of India.
