Scorsese's Rolling Stones film given release date

Director Martin Scorsese highly-anticipated documentary movie about the Rolling Stones will finally be released in April.

'Shine A Light' was slated for release in October last year, but was postponed by Paramount Classics.

But the film - which was shot over two days at the Beacon Theatre in New York in 2006 - will hit Irish cinemas on April 4, according to Gigwise.com.

The movie includes backstage footage, as well as new interviews with the band.
