Rhys Meyers shines in 'The Tudors'
Jonathan Rhys Meyers is a very slim and handsome-looking Henry VIII in the sexy and not very historically accurate 'The Tudors, Season 1' (SPHE, €44.99), but who cares as he leads a sizzling cast of lovelies into and out of his bed, meanwhile plotting and scheming to dispatch his enemies — both male and female.
Rhys Meyers hams it up in the very best tradition, and the whole effect is a great bit of fun, with some historical licence.
As filming has already finished on series two, expect this royal intrigue to run for a while yet. A pity that the extras are limited to cast and crew interviews.
What about those deleted scenes?
