A dark drama set in the frozen wastes of the Arctic where two sisters (Yeoh and Krusiec) are forced to flee from rampaging soldiers to an isolated island. There they find a soldier close to death and nurse him back to health. Their subsequent competition to win his love leads to tragedy.

We have here an atmospheric and emotional story framed by breathtaking scenery and a film that packs a punch.
