Bonham Carter: 'No special treatment from Burton'
Helena Bonham Carter has hit back at accusations of favouritism regarding her role in upcoming musical 'Sweeney Todd' - as her relationship with the director played no part in her casting.
The 'Fight Club' star, whose partner Tim Burton directed the film, insists she fought for the role of Mrs Lovett against several other actresses - and was chosen for the part by writer Steven Sondheim, not Burton.
Bonham Carter says: "I'm sure the others felt I was picked because I was sleeping with the director; but Steven Sondheim chose me - and I definitely didn't sleep with him."
