Kylie to perform at Nobel Peace Prize Concert

Australian pop star Kylie Minogue will perform at the December 11 Nobel Peace Prize Concert honouring this year's winners, former US Vice President Al Gore and the UN's climate change panel, organisers said today.

Minogue will join Alicia Keys, Annie Lennox, Juanes and Melissa Etheridge, who won an Academy Award for the song 'I Need to Wake Up', featured in Gore's environmental documentary 'An Inconvenient Truth'.

The Oslo concert will be hosted by Uma Thurman and Tommy Lee Jones and is to be held the day after the Nobel Peace Prize is presented in the Norwegian capital.

The show will be broadcast in more than 100 countries, organisers said.

Gore and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change share the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts to help spread awareness about man-made global warming.
