War of the Worlds musical now on DVD

Just re-released is Jeff Wayne’s musical version of 'The War of the Worlds' — Live on Stage (Universal, €24.99).

Filmed at Wembley Arena, this much admired show, based on Jules Verne’s popular book about a Martian invasion. Although the musical dates from 1978 and the record has sold in the millions, it retains its still retains its freshness.

Extras include commentary, interviews and behind the scenes.
