Kylie announces European tour dates
Kylie Minogue has announced a new European tour.
The pop princess said next yearâs shows would be âfresh, exhilarating and innovativeâ.
KylieX2008 opens in Paris on May 6, just days before Minogue turns 40, and reaches the North on June 26.
The star, who has returned to the stage after battling cancer, will play in Belfast, Glasgow, Manchester and Londonâs O2 Arena.
The tour is inspired by Minogueâs new album, X, which is expected to reach number three in the charts this weekend, on its first week of release.
The singer said: âI am putting together a show that is going to be a new and exciting experience for both the audience and myself.
âThe eclectic mix of sounds on X is affording me an opportunity to explore and develop a new live show that will be fresh, exhilarating and innovative.
âAfter two celebratory tours, X will be a look to the future but will definitely include favourites alongside the new.
âI canât wait to share it with you next year.â
Tickets go on sale on Monday priced at around ÂŁ49, the same price as Minogueâs last spectacular Showgirl Homecoming tour.
A statement on her website said: âInspired by her new album X, Kylie and her creative team have devised a new show that she describes herself as âfresh, exhilarating and innovativeâ.
âThe new show will be a totally different concept to previous Minogue spectaculars, which have seen her fuse her remarkable creativity with groundbreaking technology to become one of the most respected live performers of our time.â
Minogue cancelled her 'Showgirl' tour when she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005.
She returned in 2006 with the 'Showgirl Homecoming Tour'.
