The Darjeeling Limited

Director: Wes Anderson

Cast: Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, Jason Schwartzman, Anjelica Huston

Cert: 15

Three brothers decide to do something about their long estrangement and take the train of the title in the hope of finally settling past differences and bonding.

Trains are terrific for travelling in, not necessarily for bonding in since a great problem lies in the odd-ball people also on board. Okay, so such characters allow for lots of laughs and mishaps, which Anderson and the fine cast mine to the full, but you always have the feeling that more could have been made of it.

It's a film strong on character andn wonderful to look at but there's something missing amid all the quirkiness.
