Life of controversial radio host captured in 'Talk to Me'
Talk to Me
Director: Kasl Lemmons
Cast: Don Cheadle, Chewetel Elofor, Bruce McFee, Martin Sheen
Ex-con Waldo 'Petey' Greene (a brilliant performance from Cheadle) becomes, against the odds, a popular and controversial radio host in 1960s Washington.
This true story sees Cheadle capture the sheer magnetism of Greene, who espoused many of the then popular causes, in a film that is both witty and thoughtful.
So well does Cheadle do that the only fault lies in the film leaving us with a wish that we had been given more of Greene's background.
