Burton to direct Alice

Eccentric moviemaker Tim Burton is to revamp Lewis Carroll's fantastic 'Alice in Wonderland' story - as a 3-D spectacular.

The 'Edward Scissorhands' director will take charge of the performance-capture movie as part of a new two-picture deal with Walt Disney Studios.
