Hardman Crowe plans baptism

Russell Crowe is planning to get baptised, aged 43.

The 'Gladiator 'star will stage a private family ceremony in the chapel he built on his Nana Glen estate near Coffs Harbour in New South Wales, Australia at the end of the year.

"My mum and dad decided to let my brother and me make our own decisions about God when we got to the right age," he said.

"I started thinking recently: `If I believe it is important to baptise my kids, why not me'?"

Crowe built the chapel for his 2003 wedding to Danielle Spencer.

"It is consecrated and everything," he said. "Charlie was baptised there and when Tennyson gets baptised there, I will too."
