Holmes swaps running shoes for high heels

Hours after completing the New York City Marathon, US actress Katie Holmes slipped on a pair of high heels to join husband Tom Cruise at a film premiere.

The couple attended the screening of Cruise’s new movie, Lions for Lambs.

Holmes, 28 – who finished Sunday’s race in 5 hours, 29 minutes and 58 seconds - accompanied Cruise to the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan that evening, telling the TV show Access Hollywood that she was glad she stayed the 26.2-mile course.

“It was great,” she said. “I’m a little tired, but it was worth it.”

Cruise added: “She was impressive. She trained just a little over two months. ... It’s impressive, so much fun today.”

Cruise, 45, and their one-year-old daughter, Suri, were at the finish line to greet Holmes, who had registered for the event under an alias.
