Cronenberg comes up with the goods in what is a tough and totally satisfying thriller set in London and involving the Russian Mafia, with a mystery surrounding the death of a pregnant teenage girl adding spice to the mixture.

Mortensen plays the driver in one of the mob families who finds his loyalty tested when Watts, a mid-wife, starts to investigate the death, linking it to his bosses.

It’s a great film done with style and loads of atmosphere.
