Wood declined CSI guest spot

Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood has turned down the chance to guest star on an episode of US TV show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation after rocker pal Roger Daltrey warned him it's too tough.

The guitarist declined to take the part of a safe-cracker in the TV drama after The Who frontman told him how hard filming his own cameo on the show was.

Daltrey played a master of disguise on an episode of the hit show in 2006.

Wood tells the UK's Virgin Radio: "They wanted me to be Uncle Ron the safe cracker, but I saw Roger Daltrey do a guest appearance (and) he said it was all too much - no time to rehearse, and he had to play five parts.

"I said, `No,' I didn't really want to go in like that."
