Vacancy ticks all the right boxes

When David (Luke Wilson) and Amy Fox’s (Kate Beckinsale) car breaks down and they’re forced to stay at a nearby motel you sense something creepy is about to happen.

And when they discover a bunch of horror tapes which depict gruesome happenings in their room you just know life isn’t going to be easy.

They quickly discover there are cameras watching their every move in Vacancy (SPHE, €24.99), a horror thriller which doesn’t quite succeed in scaring you enough, yet has some redeeming qualities.
