West turns jewellery designer

Kanye West is designing his own jewellery line.

The 30-year-old has teamed up with artist Takashi Murakami - who designed the artwork for the hip-hop star's recent Graduation album - to work on the collection.

West last week unveiled a prototype piece from his upcoming jewellery range, which currently has no release date, at fashion designer Givenchy's show in New York.

He said: "They'll be more accessible, they won't be all diamonds."
