Doherty 'attempted suicide' when he heard of Moss' lover

Troubled rocker Pete Doherty tried to kill himself in rehab when he found out his former girlfriend Kate Moss was dating another musician, according to reports.

The Babyshambles frontman was so upset at hearing supermodel Moss was romantically involved with The Kills star Jamie Hince, he took an entire bottle of pills.

But Doherty was violently sick, clearing the poison out of his system.

His minder Johnny 'Headlock' Jeannevol tells British newspaper News Of The World, "Pete's been really wound up over Kate showing off her new man. He told me he didn't know what the pills were, and took the lot.

"He doesn't care what drugs do to him - in fact, he loves finding out."

Doherty, who last week checked out of a rehab clinic in Wiltshire, England after managing to stay clean for six weeks, split with Moss in July after he was accused of cheating on her with a mystery brunette.

He is now engaged to marry singer/model Irina Lazareanu.
