Kiedis becomes a father

Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis has become a father for the first time.

The rocker's model girlfriend, 22-year-old Heather Christie, gave birth to a baby boy in the early hours of Tuesday at the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Kiedis, 44, and Christie have yet to reveal a name for the newborn.
