Beckhams unite in London

Victoria Beckham has abandoned a promotional tour to support her soccer star David whose father is recovering from a heart attack.

The LA Galaxy star, aged 32, flew from Los Angeles on Wednesday night to join his father Ted, aged 59 at an East London hospital.

Ted is seriously ill and fighting for his life. The gas fitter was taken to Whipps Cross Hospital in Leytonstone on Wednesday and later transferred to the London Chest Hospital in Bethnal Green, where he is now said to be in a stable condition.

The Spice Girl arrived on Friday on a private jet, after cancelling a tour of Japan to promote her perfume range.
