Another peach of a performance from Clooney, as the ‘fixer’ in a large New York law firm, the sort of man who keeps the firm ticking over, the sort of man who pulls it off when things seem impossible.
The problem is he’s also the sort of man whose personal life is in wrecking-ball mode.
When he finds himself fire-watching a vital case things start to go even more off the rails.
It’s a slick gripping and thoughtful law drama with a cast doing the business in some style … the sort of film that could well figure in Oscar nominations.
