Charlotte's baby is named Ruby
Singer Charlotte Church has named her new baby daughter Ruby, it was revealed today.
Church gave birth to her baby accompanied by rugby player boyfriend Gavin Henson at their home in the Vale of Glamorgan, south Wales, on Thursday night, according to the 21-year-old’s official website www.charlottechurch.com.
The site’s webmaster wrote today: “I’ve just been chatting to Charlotte this morning and she told me that she and Gavin have chosen the name Ruby for their baby daughter.
“Ruby was born at 10.35pm last Thursday and weighed in at 6 pounds 12 ounces, exactly the same weight that Charlotte was when she was born.
“Charlotte said that they have spent the weekend receiving family and friends and everything is fine with both her and Ruby.”
The baby's full name will be Ruby Megan Henson.
It was announced on the website on Saturday that Gavin was with Charlotte for the home birth at their farmhouse in St Brides Major.
Henson was omitted from the Ospreys regional rugby squad for their Magners League match against Ulster on Friday night despite predictions from his coach that he would be on the bench.
