Allen gets double MTVU nomination

Singer Lily Allen is leading the nominations at this year's MTVU Woodie Awards, receiving two nods.

Troubled star Amy Winehouse, The Shins, Common and Gym Class Heroes will join Allen in the race for the Woodie Of The Year Award.

Allen has also been nominated for the Viral Woodie for the most downloaded track on the internet.

Linkin Park and Justice also appear in the awards shortlist, nominated by university students.

The awards will be handed out on November 8 at New York's Roseland Ballroom.
