Skinner still struggling with new album

Rapper Mike Skinner is struggling with his new album - delaying its release until next year.

The Streets frontman's fourth album was expected to be released later this year - but admits he is finding it hard to move his music in a new ambitious direction.

He says: "I wanted to make it as good as I could make it. I went down this alleyway of trying to make an album of parables or, like Biblical stories.

"The whole album was just a bit much, really, so I had to write a load of new songs. We've got about eight songs we're really happy with, so we're only a few songs away but that means we won't make Christmas."
