Austen fans need look no further

Anne Hathaway plays a young Jane Austen in Becoming Jane (2entertain, €24.99) who refuses to marry aristocrat Mr Wisley (Laurence Fox) and falls instead for the roguish womaniser Tom Leroy (James McAvoy).

But it’s 18th century Britain and pretty soon the pressure of a scandalised family forces the rebellious Jane to make a difficult decision on whether or not she should elope with the man she loves.

For Austen fans, or those who love a good period romance, look no further.

Apart from a fine audio commentary, extras include deleted and behind the scenes features, others on dance, make up and design, plus two making-of features on boxing and cricket scenes.

You have to see the film to know why the latter two are there.
