World War II epics now on DVD

Sergei Bondarchuk is best known for his Oscar-winning War and Peace, but his two World War II epics, Destiny of a Man and They Fought for their Motherland (Nouveaux, €24.99 each), lend weight to his impeccable directorial credentials.

Both look at the triumph of the human spirit over evil, as Russian soldiers find themselves challenged by Nazi forces.
