The Killers and Lou Reed record duet

Rock band The Killers have recorded a song with music icon Lou Reed.

He Las Vegas rockers worked on the track 'Tranquillize' with the former Velvet Underground star - and is expected to be released on the band's forthcoming untitled rarities album.

Frontman Brandon Flowers said: "We were thrilled with being able to work with Lou Reed. The song was calling for a duet and his voice was just right. The sentiment of the song is very him. It's one of our more depressing songs."
