Amusing coffee house drama

Caffeine (Blackhorse, €21.99) is an amusing yet highly dramatic tale which examines five very different relationships, which Dean Craig’s clever screenplay interweaves against the backdrop of a London coffee house.

Just to whet the appetite, some of the secrets revealed by the couples include a control freak who learns her future husband is a transvestite, and a possessive boyfriend finds his girlfriend is a former porn star.

Not your typical couples perhaps, but there is enough to keep you hooked, thanks in no small part to an excellent cast — Mena Suvari, Marsha Thomason and Andrew Lee Potts. No extras.
