Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has paid homage to his former band Nirvana during a blistering set at England's V Festival.

Following a surprise acoustic show earlier in the day, the US rockers took to the stage in Chelmsford, Essex on Saturday night and made a teasing reference to the Smells Like Teen Spirit band.
