The most awful of dolls for little girls are surely the dangerously over-sexed Bratz, whose only message to the pre-teenies is that bare mid-riffs are life’s constant must.

And now we have them on film – to which you should not take your daughter – in a sorry tale of four Brats – let’s not mince words – who head off to high school abest pals, drift apart, come together again to bring down a hated rival.

What a sad and sorry waste of good film. Have we really come to this?
