Nicole Richie's boyfriend Joel Madden is preparing to propose to the pregnant socialite, he confessed to TV personality Regis Philbin live on his show.

Philbin coaxed the secret out of Madden when the rocker and his band Good Charlotte appeared on Live! With Regis and Kelly.
