Hilton mansion sells in just 10 days

Reality TV star Paris Hilton has sold her Hollywood mansion for $4.25 (€3.15m) - just 10 days after it went on the market.

The troubled hotel heiress plans to move to a more secluded spot where she can escape the prying eyes of the press.

Hilton is devastated she has been forced to relinquish her luxury pad.

She recently said: "I feel like a lot of people know where I live so it's time to move.

"I'm really upset because I love my house so much. I put so much work into it. It's totally me. But I'm looking for something else right now."

Media interest in Hilton is at an all-time high after the socialite served 23 days of a 45-day jail sentence in June for violating probation on a 2006 drink-driving charge.
