Gibson meets Guatemala president

Mel Gibson has met Guatemala's President in the hope of filming a Mayan archaeological site in the country.

The director talked to President Oscar Berger on Monday and expressed an interest in making a movie or documentary of the site 600kms from the capital Guatemala City.

Gibson's 2006 film Apocalypto depicted the end of the Mayan civilization.
