Spice Girl Melanie Brown has slammed reports her recent lunch date with Eddie Murphy's ex was set up for the benefit of the paparazzi.

The singer, who is currently embroiled in a bitter paternity suit with the Daddy Day Care star, met up with Nicole Mitchell earlier this month at Beverly Hills eaterie The Ivy.
