London is 'too expensive' for Slater
Christian Slater has vowed to curb his party lifestyle as he makes his return to London's West End stage - because he can't afford nights out in the British capital.
The Hollywood actor is preparing to star in a new stage adaptation of the 1994 movie Swimming With Sharks, but has promised to cut back on socialising with friends because it left him in financial difficulties.
He said: "The first time, it was all about the night life and hanging out in the clubs and going to different plays and really seeing how far I could push the envelope.
"But it ended up costing me a lot of money and a lot of time and I was really getting tired."
Slater first appeared on the West End stage in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest in 2004.
