Schneider questions Dina Lohan's parenting

American comedian Rob Schneider has brushed off criticism from Dina Lohan over his TV portrayal of her troubled daughter Lindsay, branding her a "crummy" mummy.

Lindsay was due to appear on The Tonight Show just hours after she was detained by police for DUI last Tuesday night.

Schneider stood in, dressed as the actress, and subsequently became the target of an email rant from Dina.

In her missive to Access Hollywood, Dina wrote: "We are disappointed… (host Jay Leno) chose to allow a guest to make light of a very serious situation concerning Lindsay.

"This is a very personal and private matter and our only concern is to get Lindsay the help that she needs."

But Schneider was unperturbed by the angry response, and said: "When Mrs. Lohan stops partying with her child, then I'll have an ounce of respect for her."

And he was equally unsympathetic about Lindsay's plight, adding: "I don't care if her parents are both crummy - you cannot blame your parents anymore. She's not a kid.

"I hope she does okay but at a certain point, there's so many bigger problems in the world than Lindsay Lohan. I hope she gets her head out of her nice, cute little rear end and finds a life for herself.
