Spears' and Federline's divorce goes through

Britney Spears’ marriage to Kevin Federline officially ended yesterday when their divorce was finalised.

“They are divorced,” the singer’s lawyer Laura Wasser said after a court hearing in Los Angeles. “Everything is finalised.”

A court commissioner signed orders for dissolution of marriage, an alimony agreement and child custody.

The alimony agreement will not be made public unless there is an enforcement issue, Wasser said.

A decision on custody of the former couple's two sons, 22-month-old Sean Preston Federline, and 10-month-old Jayden James Federline, is sealed until an August 14 hearing.

Gordon said “the best interests of the children could be harmed” if the arrangement were revealed.
